Kaszana Tower, also known as the Gunpowder Tower, is a cylindrical defensive structure with a diameter of 5.6 meters and a height of 21 meters, built from brick. It forms part of Trzebiatów's defensive walls and was constructed in the first half of the 14th century to strengthen the town's defenses and serve as an observation point over the Rega River. Its architecture includes four levels, with prison dungeons on the ground floor and irregularly spaced embrasures on the 2nd and 3rd levels. The original entrance was located on the 2nd floor, and the top of the tower was adorned with corbels that once supported a now-vanished guard terrace. In the 15th century, the tower was heightened, and in the 19th century, it underwent renovation, receiving a new roof and a side gate. In 1994, another restoration took place, restoring its former glory and enabling it to be open for visitors during the summer. Kaszana Tower is maintained by the Historical Association Trzebiatów Chąśba. One of the most intriguing aspects of its history is the legend of a guard who allegedly dropped a bowl of hot porridge on an attacker's head, saving the town from assault. In connection with this tale, the annual Święto Kaszy (Porridge Festival) is held, celebrating both local culture and the history of this monument.
