wikipedia
Kašparova Chata, a mountain lodge located in the Orlické Mountains in the Czech Republic, has a rich history dating back to the 1930s. Originally, the building housed a village inn, which was purchased in 1935 by the Czechoslovak Tourist Club from Hradec Králové. After modernization in 1936, it was converted into a mountain lodge and officially opened in 1937, named after Karel Slavomír Kašpar, a prominent tourism activist. In the 1970s and 1980s, the lodge operated as a holiday resort but was reopened to tourists in the mid-1990s. Architecturally, the lodge stands out for its folk-style wooden interior adorned with painted floral motifs typical of the region. From the outside, it resembles a cozy rural cottage, creating a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. The lodge is situated near the former border crossing Kamieńczyk-Mladkov Petrovičky and along hiking trails, including the red trail leading to the highest peaks of the Orlické Mountains. Nearby attractions include the Kladská Vyhlídka viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the Bystrzyckie Mountains, and the bunkers of the Adam Military Fortification Group, remnants of the Czech fortifications from the 1930s. Located at an altitude of 760 meters above sea level amidst picturesque landscapes, the lodge attracts hiking and cycling enthusiasts, offering beautiful views and an abundance of natural beauty.
