Gmina Kluki, located in the Łódź Voivodeship within Bełchatów County, is an area with a rich geographical structure and dynamic history. For many years, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the former Piotrków Voivodeship. It is characterized by diverse terrain—the eastern part is dominated by the Bełchatów Plateau, with its highest point reaching 231.1 meters above sea level near Kaszewice, and the Widawka River valley, where the terrain drops to its lowest point of 168.0 meters above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 118.63 km², nearly half of which is forested, along with agricultural land, indicating its rural character. The municipality consists of numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), including Kluki, Imielnia, and Kaszewice, as well as non-administrative villages such as Bożydar and Kawalce. It also includes settlements whose residents are part of the local community. According to data from December 31, 2023, the demographics of the municipality may reflect social changes and settlement trends, which are important for local culture and traditions. Architecturally, traditional rural buildings and public utility structures, which reflect the regional style, are noteworthy.
