Kodrąb is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Radomsko County, with its administrative seat in the village of Kodrąb. For many years, from 1975 to 1998, the commune belonged to the Piotrków Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2010, the commune had a population of 4,746. The area of Kodrąb covers 105.79 km², of which 75% is agricultural land and 17% is forested, shaping the local economy and landscape. The commune includes several village districts, such as Bugaj–Antopol, Feliksów, Gosławice, and many others, as well as numerous smaller settlements, reflecting its rich settlement structure. Neighboring communes include Gomunice, Gorzkowice, and Kobiele Wielkie. Kodrąb also has interesting historical references; during the September Campaign in 1939, a Polish bomber aircraft "Łoś" was shot down in the vicinity of the commune, highlighting the area's significance in Polish history.
