Komarów-Osada

The Komarów-Osada Commune, located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Zamość County, is an area rich in history, with origins dating back to the times of the Kingdom of Poland, when it belonged to Tomaszów County. The current commune was formed from the former Komarów Commune, and its administrative seat is the town of Komarów-Osada. According to data from December 31, 2009, the commune had a population of 5,432. Geographically, the commune covers an area of 122.79 km², of which 87% is agricultural land and 7% is forested, highlighting its agricultural character and natural assets. The commune constitutes 6.56% of the area of Zamość County. Within the commune, there are numerous villages, such as Antoniówka, Dub, Huta Komarowska, Krzywystok, and Zubowice, which may have local traditions, distinctive architecture, and unique cultural features. Other settlements in the region include Berestki and Szczerbiki. It is worth noting the local architecture, which may include traditional rural houses, churches, and public utility buildings. The commune borders others, such as Krynice, Łabunie, and Sitno, making this area a dynamically developing rural space of historical significance.
