Korytnica is a rural municipality in the Węgrów County of the Masovian Voivodeship, with its administrative seat located in the village of Korytnica. It has undergone administrative changes in the past, being part of the Siedlce Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had a population of 6,828 inhabitants and covered an area of 180.54 km², of which 78% was agricultural land and 14% was forested. Korytnica features a diverse terrain and plays a significant role within the county, occupying 14.81% of its total area. The municipality comprises numerous villages, including Adampol, Górki Borze, Korytnica, Nojszew, and Wola Korytnicka, reflecting its expansiveness and the diversity of its local community. It is known for its valuable natural resources and cultural heritage, which attract both residents and tourists. An interesting fact is that Arkadiusz Kołodziejczyk is an honorary citizen of Korytnica.
