wikipedia
The Kotuliński Palace, located in Czechowice-Dziedzice at Zamkowa Street, is an outstanding example of Rococo architecture, serving not only as a historical site but also as a significant cultural landmark in the region. Built in the 18th century on the commission of Franciszek Karol Kotuliński, the palace passed through the hands of many owners, including the Renard family, who greatly embellished it in the 18th and 19th centuries by creating a beautiful garden and adding elegant architectural elements, such as the Renard coat of arms supported by lions. In the 20th century, the palace underwent changes, and after World War II, it was nationalized and functioned as an agricultural school. In 1960, the building was entered into the register of historical monuments, which helped preserve its historical value. In the 1990s, it became the property of the city and was later acquired by various companies that planned to convert it into a hotel. In 2006, the palace was thoroughly restored by the company Polplast, restoring its former splendor. Unfortunately, in 2017, the company declared bankruptcy, and the palace was put up for sale. Interestingly, during the sale process, the historical furnishings were excluded, which serves as an example of care for the historic architectural elements. Today, the palace is a symbol not only of historical heritage but also of the cultural aspirations of the region.
