Kozłowo is a rural municipality located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, within Nidzica County. Its administrative seat is the village of Kozłowo. The history of the municipality dates back to the pre-modern era, and between 1975 and 1998, it operated within the boundaries of the Olsztyn Voivodeship. Demographic data indicate that in 2004, the municipality was inhabited by 6,116 people, and by the end of 2019, this number had decreased to 5,998. The municipality covers an area of 254.01 km², of which 76% is agricultural land and 12% is forested land, making Kozłowo a significant agricultural area in the region. The municipality comprises numerous village administrative units, such as Bartki, Cebulki, and Niedanowo, as well as smaller settlements that are also part of the local community. Kozłowo borders other municipalities, such as Dąbrówno, Działdowo, and Nidzica. The municipality is an important point on the map of Warmia and Masuria, combining rich rural and agricultural traditions.
