Koźmin Wielkopolski is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Krotoszyn County. The municipality has its seat in the town of Koźmin Wielkopolski, which functioned as the municipality of Koźmin until 1997. From 1975 to 1998, it was administratively part of the Kalisz Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 152.69 km², of which 88% is agricultural land and 6% is forest land, reflecting the region's strong agricultural tradition. In 2004, the municipality was home to a significant number of residents, as reflected in the demographic age pyramid, which illustrates the social structure of the population. The municipality comprises several village districts, such as Borzęcice, Dębiogóra, Józefów, and Suśnia, as well as numerous smaller settlements.
