The Krośnice Commune, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship within the Milicz County, is a rural commune with its seat in the town of Krośnice. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged to the Wrocław Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, Krośnice had a population of 7,927 residents, and by June 30, 2020, this number had increased to 8,106. The commune covers an area of 178.73 km², of which 49% is agricultural land and 37% is forested land, making it an area with a diverse structure. The vicinity includes numerous village administrative units, such as Brzostowo, Czarnogoździce, Czeszyce, Dąbrowa, as well as smaller towns and settlements, reflecting a well-developed local community.
