Krobia is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Gostyń County. Its seat, the town of Krobia, boasts a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, which is reflected in its architecture, with preserved historic buildings and structures that testify to the region's former significance. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality belonged to the Leszno Voivodeship, and it is currently inhabited by approximately 13,077 people. Krobia is an area with significant agricultural potential, with 87% of the municipality's area occupied by farmland and 4% by forests. It also stands out for its diverse structure of villages (sołectwa), which play an important role in the cultural life of the municipality. Among the village administrative units, there are 21 villages, as well as several settlements. Culture in the municipality of Krobia is shaped by local traditions and events that integrate the community of residents. Thanks to its proximity to other municipalities, such as Gostyń and Poniec, Krobia has the potential for dynamic development and regional cooperation.
