Krzeszowice

Krzeszowice is a picturesque town located in southern Poland, in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, which plays a significant role in the Kraków metropolitan area and serves as the seat of the urban-rural municipality. With a rich history dating back to 1286, the town gained spa status in the 20th century, thanks in part to its therapeutic sulfate waters. In the 19th century, it developed under the patronage of the Potocki family, who significantly influenced its architecture; the former Potocki Palace, listed as a historical monument, is an example of Italian Renaissance style. As of December 31, 2022, the town had a population of 9,755 residents, who benefit from developed infrastructure, including railway lines and road networks, facilitating access to nearby attractions and Kraków. Despite changing historical circumstances, Krzeszowice remains an important center with a rich history, diverse attractions, and a dynamically developing economy and culture.
