The commune of Krzyżanowice, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, Racibórz County, consists of 10 village districts, with its seat in the town of Krzyżanowice. The commune covers an area of 6,900 hectares, dominated by agricultural land, which accounts for 78% of the area, mostly arable land. The commune is characterized by high soil quality, which favors agriculture, especially in four of its village districts. There are 1,048 individual farms and several larger units operating here, engaged in the cultivation of cereals, potatoes, rapeseed, and the breeding of poultry, cattle, and pigs. The spatial development plan envisages the expansion of single-family housing and technical infrastructure, as well as the intensification of investments near the Polish-Czech border. The commune also has a rich history, traces of which can be found in numerous monuments, such as the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Tworków with a crypt dating back to 1650, the Church of All Saints in Bieńkowice, and the palace and park complex in Krzyżanowice, which hosted famous composers like Liszt and Beethoven. Another interesting site is the castle in Chałupki, surrounded by remnants of fortifications. Tourism in the commune benefits from diverse terrain, natural monuments, and local attractions, contributing to its development. The commune actively cooperates with four partner municipalities from the Czech Republic and Hungary, fostering cultural exchange.
