The building was renovated in 2012, improving accessibility for people with disabilities and introducing modern amenities such as elevators and ticket machines. Leszno is not only an important transport hub but also a place rich in history. The station began operations in 1856, which over time contributed to the dynamic development of the region. The station played a strategic role in the railway system and served as a border control point during the partitions of Poland. Interestingly, the routes passing through Leszno were once key communication lines, including during World War I. Today, Leszno is served by various train categories, including InterCity and Koleje Wielkopolskie, enabling travel to many Polish cities. The station and its surroundings are continuously undergoing modernization, enhancing travel comfort. It is worth noting that in 2019, the Leszno - Głogów - Zielona Góra connection was reinstated, highlighting the growing importance of this location in regional rail transport. Moreover, Leszno offers an extensive public transport network, including numerous bus lines, making it easy to reach the station. In a historical context, Leszno celebrated the 150th anniversary of its railways in 2006, marking a significant milestone in local history. Additionally, in the 1940s, the famous Balt-Orient-Express passed through Leszno. Thus, Leszno Railway Station is not just a transport point but also a place steeped in history and railway traditions, continually evolving to meet the modern needs of travelers.
