Lesznowola

Lesznowola is a rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship, located in the Piaseczno County, with its administrative seat in Lesznowola. Before 1998, the municipality was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship. It covers an area of 69.17 km², of which 74% is agricultural land. According to data from December 31, 2009, the municipality had 18,002 inhabitants. Lesznowola boasts well-developed social infrastructure, including three school complexes, five kindergartens, and children's clubs. In terms of culture, the Municipal Cultural Center and a library with branches operate here, fostering cultural activity among residents. The municipality emphasizes sports development, offering various sports facilities such as stadiums, sports fields, tennis courts, and an archery range. Sports clubs active in the area include the Ludowy Uczniowski Klub Sportowy SET and the Uczniowski Klub Sportowy Walka Kosów. Lesznowola also has its own local media, which promotes social integration and access to information. An interesting feature is the rich structure of its villages (sołectwa), which include places such as Garbatka, Jabłonowo, Mroków, and Wilcza Góra. The municipality borders Nadarzyn, Piaseczno, Raszyn, Tarczyn, and the capital city of Warsaw. It is worth noting the historical value of the region, visible in its architecture and traditions, as well as the growing importance of Lesznowola as a residential area in close proximity to the capital.
