Limanowa

The Limanowa Commune, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Limanowa County, covers an area of 152.39 km², dominated by agricultural land (61%) and forests (32%). The commune is part of the Beskid Wyspowy mountain range and comprises 21 villages, with a population of approximately 25,000 residents. The main administrative center is the town of Limanowa, which serves as the cultural and service hub of the region. Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship. The commune boasts numerous historical landmarks and religious sites, such as churches in Męcina, Nowe Rybie, and Pisarzowa, as well as a war cemetery in Stara Wieś. It is worth noting that the area features numerous hiking trails, attracting mountain tourism and agritourism enthusiasts, and offering attractions for visitors to the region.
