The municipality of Lniano, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship within the Świecie County, has its administrative seat in the village of Lniano and is characterized by a diverse landscape and rich demographic structure. According to data, the municipality covers an area of 88.34 km², of which 62% is agricultural land and 26% is forested. The municipality has been recognized as one of the five most innovative rural municipalities in Poland and the most innovative in the voivodeship. In the northern part of the municipality lies the Wdecki Landscape Park, which is part of an area significant for nature conservation, including the Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve and Natura 2000 sites. Within the municipality, 19 natural monuments and 26 ecological sites in the form of wetlands have been registered. The municipality consists of villages such as Błądzim, Brzemiona, and Mszano, as well as several non-village settlements like Bukowiec and Jakubowo. Two provincial roads provide access to the municipality, facilitating transportation. Between 2007 and 2019, the population increased from 4,102 to 4,322. The municipality borders other municipalities such as Bukowiec, Cekcyn, and Osie. Due to its natural values and innovative character, Lniano is an area of significant ecological and touristic importance.
