The municipality of Łososina Dolna, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, within the Nowy Sącz County, is an area with a rich history dating back to the 14th century, when the village of Jakubkowice, later known as Łososina, was established in the Łososina River valley. This region fostered cultural and economic development due to its strategic location on trade routes. The municipality is characterized by beautiful nature, featuring the Rożnów and Czchów Lakes, as well as numerous hills, which promote tourism, recreation, and water sports. Tourist activities are concentrated in towns such as Tęgoborze, Znamirowice, and Witowice Dolne. The municipality also operates the Podhale Aeroclub Airport, offering passenger flights in sports aircraft. In terms of historical monuments, notable sites include the wooden St. Nicholas Church from 1753, relocated to Tabaszowa, and the church on Just Hill, with roots dating back to the 10th century. The architecture of the municipality also includes a classicist manor in Tęgoborze from the 18th/19th century and roadside chapels. An interesting fact is its cooperation with partner municipalities, including Crescentino in Italy and Łubianka in Poland.
