Lubień Kujawski is an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Włocławek County, covering an area of 150.21 km², with a population of 7,603 residents in 2004. The municipality boasts a rich architectural heritage, including the manor complex in Kamienna and numerous historically significant monuments, such as the 1880 Church of St. Prokop in Kłóbka and the Neo-Gothic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lubień Kujawski, built between 1884 and 1886. The area also features a defensive manor dating back to the 14th–17th centuries, as well as several manor complexes in Kłóbka, Rutkowice, and Rzeżewo Małe. Historically, the municipality belonged to the Włocławek County in the Warsaw Governorate, and Lubień lost its town rights in 1870, only to regain them in 1919. Lubień Kujawski plays an important role in local culture, and its wealth of historical monuments attracts tourists. The localities within the municipality, such as Kłóbka, Antoniewo, and Rzeżewo Małe, each have their unique histories and architecture, making them interesting to explore. The residents live in harmony with nature, with 87% of the area dedicated to agricultural land and 5% to forests.
