Arena Lublin is a modern football stadium located at Stadionowa Street in Lublin, constructed between 2012 and 2014. It was built on the site of the former Lublin Sugar Refinery and has a capacity of 15,243 spectators. The stadium's architecture stands out with its roofed stands covered in white glass-fiber fabric, providing protection from rain. The pitch, measuring 105x68 meters, is equipped with an under-soil heating system, and the facility is fully accessible for people with disabilities. Initial construction plans evolved through various location concepts, and the project, valued at approximately 155 million PLN, was executed under a "design and build" model. The first match took place on October 9, 2014, when the Poland U-20 team defeated Italy U-20 with a score of 2:1. The arena has hosted numerous significant sporting events, including international matches, the Polish Cup, and the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Interestingly, in 2020, due to pandemic restrictions in Sweden, the stadium hosted a UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier between Sweden and Armenia. Arena Lublin not only serves as a venue for football matches but also functions as a cultural space, hosting concerts and other sporting events, making it a key element of the city's sports and cultural infrastructure.
