Lubraniec is an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Włocławek County, with the town of Lubraniec serving as its administrative seat. Historically, until 1954, the municipality was known as Piaski. It covers an area of 148.18 km², of which 88% is agricultural land and 4% is forested. The municipality is home to approximately 10,089 residents (2004 data). The area boasts numerous historical monuments that reflect its rich cultural and architectural heritage. Among them, the wooden church in Dąbie Kujawskie from 1789 and the palace complex in Lubraniec from 1812, which includes a palace, park, and outbuilding, stand out. In the village of Kłobia, there is a church complex with a church dating back to 1883, as well as a 19th-century Roman Catholic cemetery. Other significant landmarks include a late 18th-century synagogue in Lubraniec and a manor complex in Ossowa from the same period. An interesting aspect of the local heritage are the manor and palace complexes, representing various 19th-century architectural styles. Lubraniec Municipality is a place that not only impresses with its monuments but also with its rich history and traditions, making it an attractive area for exploration by both tourists and residents. It borders the municipalities of Boniewo, Brześć Kujawski, Choceń, Izbica Kujawska, Osięciny, Topólka, and Włocławek, which fosters the development of communication and regional integration.
