L. Rydygier Provincial Integrated Hospital in Toruń, also known as the Bielany Hospital, is a medical institution founded in 1972, located at św. Józefa Street. Its construction began in 1963 and was carried out by Toruńskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Ogólnego. The hospital was originally scheduled to open in 1967 but was ultimately commissioned on July 19, 1971. The hospital complex includes various units, such as the Multispecialty Hospital, the Regional Dental Center, and the Psychiatric Hospital. It also houses an Emergency Medical Services Station equipped with modern vehicles. Throughout its history, the hospital has undergone numerous changes and modernizations in response to patient needs and advancements in medicine. The hospital gained recognition for its consultative and highly specialized services. It was the first in Poland to establish a Human Milk Bank, supporting the nutrition of premature infants. The hospital participates in various initiatives aimed at improving the quality of medical services. Its rich history is marked by numerous achievements and developments, including the introduction of modern technologies such as computed tomography. The hospital also holds certifications confirming its high-quality services, including "Baby-Friendly Hospital" and various accreditations. The ceremonial completion of the hospital's modernization took place in May 2022. The facility has also gained modern architectural infrastructure, enhancing patient care standards. The hospital director is Sylwia Sobczak, and the institution remains dedicated to addressing the healthcare needs of the region's residents.
