wikipedia
Młynów is a sołectwo village located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, within Kłodzko County. Its architecture is of a linear type, with buildings stretching along the Nysa Kłodzka River, dominated by structures from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, some of which reflect the style of mountain resort architecture. However, Młynów lacks historical monuments, and its most valuable historical site was a paper mill from 1895, which now lies in ruins. The village is situated on the ancient Amber Route, connecting Kłodzko and Wojbórz, with local transport provided by bus stops and the proximity of a railway halt in Ławica. Młynów has a stable demographic situation, with a population that grew in the 20th century due to the development of the paper industry but now faces challenges resulting from economic transformations. The village never had its own parish, and most residents are Catholic, belonging to the parish in Wojbórz. Młynów's culture is tied to its industrial past, including the paper mill, which was once the largest in the region. However, since the 1990s and the political transformation, employment in industry and agriculture has declined. Efforts are currently underway to develop agritourism in Młynów, with the village seeking to capitalize on its scenic qualities. An interesting fact is that Młynów has witnessed numerous administrative and demographic changes over the centuries, including post-World War II resettlements. After 1997, the village struggled with the effects of a catastrophic flood, which impacted local infrastructure and the community. Today, Młynów blends tradition with modernity, and its proximity to Kłodzko provides residents with access to larger urban attractions.
