Koszyce Małe is a village located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in Tarnów County, within the administrative district of Tarnów. It is known for its rich history dating back to the Middle Ages and its unique natural resources. Architecturally, two sites stand out as registered historical monuments: War Cemetery No. 196 and a manor house with an attached chapel. The history of the village is linked to several well-known families, such as the Rokosz and Strzyżowski families, whose legacy has endured to this day. Koszyce Małe was also the site of tragic events during World War II, when local residents were executed by German forces. In 1962, the victims' bodies were exhumed, and in 2016, the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) reopened the investigation into undiscovered mass graves. The village also boasts strong cultural traditions; since 2013, it has hosted the charitable concert series "MANIA POMAGANIA." Koszyce Małe is renowned for its beautiful landscapes and unique flora and fauna, including protected species. The geographical appeal of the village, nestled in the picturesque Ciężkowice Foothills, makes it an attractive destination for tourists. Koszyce Małe also has interesting community traditions, particularly centered around the activities of the Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1948.
