Małogoszcz is an urban-rural municipality located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, within the Jędrzejów County. Its history dates back to the past, when until 1870 the municipality functioned as the Kozłów Commune. The seat of the municipality is the town of Małogoszcz, which constitutes a small part of its total area of 146.05 km², with the town covering 9.68 km² and the remaining rural areas consisting mainly of agricultural and forest land. According to demographic data at the end of 2010, the municipality had a population of 11,728. Małogoszcz and surrounding localities, such as Bocheniec, Henryków, Kozłów, and Wiśnicz, form a diverse agricultural landscape, which in 2007 was composed of 65% agricultural land and 27% forest land. The municipality borders other communes, such as Chęciny and Jędrzejów, which fosters cultural and historical exchange. An interesting aspect of the municipality is its architecture, which features both traditional rural buildings and elements related to the historical transformations of the region. The Małogoszcz Municipality has a rich cultural life, with residents of the village districts actively participating, as well as various initiatives aimed at promoting folklore and local traditions. A notable feature is the numerous festivals and events held in the region, attracting both locals and tourists. It is also worth noting that Małogoszcz is located near distinctive tourist attractions, making it an interesting place not only to live but also to visit.
