wikipedia
The manor house in Grabonóg is a historic, classicist building located in the village of Grabonóg, in the Gostyń County of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The history of the manor is rich, and its owners changed over the years, including the Górka, Czarnkowski, Mielżyński, Wilkoński, and Bojanowski families. It was likely built around 1800 during the time of the Wilkoński family. After the death of Wincenty Wilkoński, the estate passed into the hands of Apolinary Lossow, who in 1868 carried out a modernization, transforming the old manor into an outbuilding. The property remained in the hands of the Lossow family until 1939, and today it houses the Edmund Bojanowski Museum of Ethnography. Surrounding the manor is a park spanning 2.17 hectares with two ponds, adding to the charm of the place. The architecture of the manor is distinctive, featuring a rectangular layout and a single-story timber-frame structure filled with clay and brick. Above the front facade rises a two-story projection with wooden pilasters in the Doric order, and the hipped roof is covered with wood shingles. The main entrance leads to a hallway with a wooden ceiling, supported by two wooden columns. An interesting historical aspect is the connection of the manor with the blessed Edmund Bojanowski, who was born in 1814 and lived here until 1857. The museum includes a room dedicated to his memory, with mementos donated by the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, highlighting the cultural and religious significance of this place.
