wikipedia
The manor in Skrzynki is a historic, eclectic building located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in the Poznań County, within the municipality of Stęszew. It was built in the second half of the 19th century by the German Iffland family and features a rectangular layout. It is characterized by a semicircular balcony above the main entrance. In 1926, the estate covered 601 hectares, and in 1939, it was owned by Konrad Iffland. After World War II, the estate was nationalized, and the manor underwent its first modernization between 1986 and 1990, after which it began serving as a training and recreation center. In 2015, the property was transferred to the ownership of Poznań County, and since 2022, it has been the headquarters of the Skrzynki Institute, a cultural institution established to document, develop, and promote the cultural and culinary heritage of the region. The manor has been transformed into a conference and training center, hosting numerous artistic activities such as concerts, literary meetings, and exhibitions. The facility also includes a photography gallery, a restaurant, and overnight accommodations. This place combines rich history with dynamic cultural activities, making it a significant point on the map of regional attractions.
