Margonin is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, located in the Chodzież County, with its administrative seat in the town of Margonin. Previously functioning as a rural commune until 1954, the municipality covers an area of 122 km², of which 61% is agricultural land and 31% is forested. The Margonin municipality is a significant part of the county, accounting for 17.93% of its total area. According to data from June 2004, the municipality had 6,353 inhabitants, and as of the end of 2021, its demography presents an interesting topic, particularly in terms of its age structure.
