Puszcza Mariańska is a rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Żyrardów County, covering an area of 142.41 km². It is home to 8,431 people, making it a place of diverse demographics. The municipality is predominantly characterized by agricultural land (62%) and forests (32%), which significantly shape its landscape. The history of the municipality dates back to before 1953, when it was known as the Korabiewice municipality. In the past, it underwent changes in administrative affiliation, having belonged to, among others, the Łódź and Skierniewice voivodeships. The municipality boasts a well-developed transport infrastructure, including two railway lines and the provincial road no. 719, which facilitates access to larger towns, including Warsaw. It is also worth mentioning the sołectwas (administrative villages), such as Puszcza Mariańska, Korabiewice, and Grabina Radziwiłłowska, each with its unique characteristics. The municipality also includes smaller towns and settlements, enriching its culture and traditions. Interestingly, since 2000, one of the railway lines has been used exclusively for freight traffic, which may indicate changes in the local economy. Puszcza Mariańska, with its diverse territorial structure and active sołectwas, is an interesting example of a Polish countryside where tradition meets modernity.
