Masłowice is a rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship, located in the Radomsko County, with its administrative seat in the locality of the same name. Historically, between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Piotrków Voivodeship. According to demographic data, in 2010 the commune was inhabited by 4,260 people, and by the end of 2017 this number had decreased to 4,183 residents. The commune covers an area of 116.2 km², of which 72% is agricultural land and 16% is forested land, highlighting its rural character and the importance of agriculture in the local economy. Masłowice Commune constitutes 8.05% of the area of Radomsko County. In terms of nature, the commune is home to the Góra Chełmo Nature Reserve, which protects the unique landscape of a hill covered with mixed forest, formed from Lower Cretaceous sandstones, and features an ancient fortified settlement. Neighboring communes include Gorzkowice, Kobiele Wielkie, Kodrąb, Łęki Szlacheckie, Przedbórz, Ręczno, and Wielgomłyny, making Masłowice part of a broader network of local communities.
