Miączyn

Miączyn Commune, located in the Lublin Voivodeship, Zamość County, is a picturesque area covering 155.91 km², where 83% of the land is agricultural, and 10% is forested. The seat of the commune, Miączyn, serves as the center of the local community, whose population has been declining, from 6,308 people in 2004 to 5,726 in 2019. The commune is characterized by its rich natural environment, including the Popówka Nature Reserve, which protects colonies of the spotted souslik as well as rare species of birds and mammals. The commune's structure includes several villages, such as Czartoria, Frankamionka, Gdeszyn, and Żuków, reflecting the rural character of the region.
