wikipedia
The Modzurów Palace, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, is an example of Neo-Gothic architecture built in 1864 by the von König family. The building captivates with its richly decorated stained-glass window in the hall, which draws attention with its floral ornamentation. The palace interiors have partially retained their original décor, allowing visitors to experience the historical atmosphere of the place. Currently, the palace is used by the Plant Breeding Station and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape park, filled with a hornbeam alley and exotic trees. In the park, one can find the tombstone of Victor von König and a mid-19th-century mausoleum, which is now in ruins. An interesting architectural element is the Neo-Gothic chapel from 1890, built on a rectangular plan with a semicircular closure, incorporating a stone tracery from the window of the former church in Modzurów, dated to the year 1300. The palace and its surroundings are a significant part of the local cultural heritage, and its entry into the register of historical monuments confirms the historical value of the site. An interesting fact is that the palace combines elements of Neo-Gothic architecture with a romantic landscape style, making it an attraction for both architecture and history enthusiasts.
