Morzeszczyn is a rural Kociewie commune in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, located in the Tczew County. The commune consists of 11 village administrative districts, with the village of Morzeszczyn serving as its seat. It covers an area of 91.24 km², 72% of which is agricultural land. The commune boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century when these lands were managed by the Cistercian Order. Thanks to their activities, agriculture developed, new settlements emerged, and existing localities such as Królów Las and Nowa Cerkiew gained significance. The 19th century brought economic revival, and after the war, landed estates were taken over by the state, which influenced the spatial layout of the commune. Architecturally, the commune offers many interesting structures, including churches, a mill in Królów Las, and a 19th-century manor house in Lipia Góra. The area also features valuable natural sites, such as river valleys, and four natural monuments, including oak trees and glacial erratics. The commune also serves educational functions, with two primary schools, including one named after Maria Konopnicka. It is worth noting that Morzeszczyn is well-connected, with important road and railway routes, which supports tourism development. The commune borders the communes of Bobowo, Pelplin, Gniew, Skórcz, and Smętowo Graniczne, making it an attractive destination for visitors and residents alike.
