Another attraction is the ruins of a medieval fortress from the 13th century. The municipality also has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. In recent years, the area has faced demographic challenges, as reflected in data on natural population growth and an unemployment rate of 16.5% in 2006. Administratively, the municipality consists of 9 village councils and one auxiliary unit – the Town of Moryń. Its 2016 budget showed a slight difference between expenditures (PLN 14.5 million) and revenues (PLN 14.2 million).
