Mrocza is an urban-rural commune in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, located in Nakło County. Its administrative seat is the town of Mrocza. The commune covers an area of 150.71 km², of which 73% is agricultural land and 15% is forest land. In 2004, the commune had a population of 9,090. The region is home to the Jezioro Wieleckie Nature Reserve, which protects rare bird species, highlighting the area's natural significance. Mrocza also features two manor house complexes that are registered as immovable heritage sites. The first, located in Rajgród, includes a mid-19th-century manor and an early 20th-century park. The second complex, situated in Witosław, dates back to the first half of the 19th century and also includes a park and other farm buildings. The commune consists of numerous villages, such as Białowieża, Drążno, and Witosław, as well as smaller settlements like Chwałka and Rajgród. Mrocza borders other communes, including Łobżenica, Nakło nad Notecią, and Więcbork. This blend of architecture, history, and local nature gives the commune of Mrocza its unique character, leaving a lasting impression on both residents and visitors.
