Mstów is a rural commune in the Silesian Voivodeship, located in the Częstochowa County. Its seat is in the town of Mstów, and the commune, with an area of 119.84 km², is characterized largely by agricultural land (79%) and forests (13%). The history of the commune dates back to ancient times, and it was formerly known as the Wancerzów Commune until 1952. From 1975 to 1998, it was part of the Częstochowa Voivodeship. Mstów Commune is gaining popularity among the residents of Częstochowa, and according to 2017 data, it was inhabited by 10,785 people. The localities in the commune include Brzyszów, Jaskrów, Mstów, and Wancerzów, some of which, such as Gąszczyk or Pniaki Mokrzeskie, do not have the status of a village council (sołectwo). The commune has developed transportation, provided by MPK and PKS Częstochowa lines, connecting Mstów with Częstochowa and other nearby towns. The commune borders Częstochowa and several other communes, which contributes to its development. Mstów can also boast beautiful natural spots and tourist attractions, making it an attractive place both to live in and to visit.
