Mszczonów

Mszczonów, formerly the Piekary commune, is an urban-rural municipality in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Żyrardów County. Its administrative seat is the town of Mszczonów. The municipality boasts a rich history dating back to medieval times, though administratively, from 1975 to 1998, it was part of the Skierniewice Voivodeship. According to data from the end of 2022, the municipality is home to 10,975 people and covers an area of 152 km², which constitutes 28.5% of the county's total area.
