The Municipal Museum "Sztygarka" in Dąbrowa Górnicza is an important cultural institution with a history dating back to 1912, when the Zygmunt Gloger Geological Museum was established. Initially, the exhibits were collected by students of the mining school, but World War I led to the looting and destruction of the collections. After the war, the museum was restored, but for many years it operated as an educational facility of the school. In 1997, the museum was transformed into a municipal institution named "Sztygarka," with its headquarters located in the former Mining Management building. Architecturally, the building combines historical and industrial elements, reflecting the rich history of the Dąbrowa Basin region. The museum features diverse exhibitions on archaeology, local ethnography, history, nature, and geology, making it a significant place for understanding the cultural heritage of the area. An interesting addition is the "Reduta" Military-Historical Park, which is part of the museum and showcases military artifacts and the history of warfare in the region. "Sztygarka" not only preserves local heritage but also educates and engages the community, serving as a cultural center for the residents of Dąbrowa Górnicza.
