The Municipal Stadium in Białystok, located at 1 Słoneczna Street, is a modern football facility that serves as the main sports arena for the Jagiellonia Białystok club, which competes in the Ekstraklasa, as well as for the teams of Włókniarz and Hetman Białystok. The history of the stadium dates back to 1971, when it was opened as a venue for 15,000 spectators, with its capacity later increased to approximately 30,000 seats. The stadium has undergone a long journey, from the memorable times when Jagiellonia played matches in front of large crowds, to the 1990s, when the facility fell into decline. A new era began in the 21st century with modernization and the club's growing successes. In 2006, the stadium was municipalized, paving the way for further investments. In 2014, the new Municipal Stadium with a capacity of over 20,000 seats was officially opened. Architecturally, the facility was designed with modern needs in mind, featuring comfortable stands, a VIP zone, conference rooms, modern lighting, and a heated pitch. The stadium has hosted not only league matches but also national team events, including games of Poland's youth teams and other international competitions. Interestingly, during the official opening of the new stadium, Jagiellonia Białystok achieved an impressive 5-0 victory against Pogoń Szczecin, which went down in the stadium's history as one of the first events held at the new arena. The Municipal Stadium in Białystok is not only a venue for football battles but also an important cultural and social hub that attracts both local fans and tourists.
