wikipedia
The Museum of Technology and Communication – Zajezdnia Sztuki in Szczecin is one of the largest technical museums in Poland, opened on January 1, 2006. It is located in a historic tram depot on Niemierzyńska Street, which is listed in the register of monuments. In 2010, comprehensive renovation works were carried out, financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the European Economic Area. The museum showcases the rich history of urban transport in Szczecin, including trams and buses, and also has a dedicated space for the Szczecin automotive industry. The collections include motorcycles from the pre-war Alba company, Stoewer cars, post-war Junak motorcycles, and Polish two-wheelers such as Osa scooters and Komar mopeds. The car collection includes Syrenas, Fiats, and Warszawas, as well as prototypes of Polish vehicles such as the Beskid and Smyk. An interesting feature is the Konstal 105Na tram simulator, which offers a visualization of the real Szczecin. The architecture of the depot, transformed into a museum, combines industrial elements with a modern approach to exhibitions, making it both an educational and attractive destination for tourists. The museum not only documents the development of technology but also plays an important role in preserving the local culture and history related to transport.
