The Muslim cemetery in Studzianka, established at the end of the 17th century, is an important element of the cultural and historical heritage of the region. The mizar, used until World War II, has preserved around 160 stone tombstones with inscriptions in Arabic, Polish, and Russian. Architecturally, these graves are characterized by simplicity and symbolism, featuring elements typical of Muslim culture, such as the orientation of the tombstones toward Mecca. The cemetery is a testament to the centuries-long presence of the Muslim community in this area, which preserved its traditions and religion. Among those buried here are prominent members of the community, such as General Józef Bielak and Colonel Jakub Azulewicz, underscoring the significance of this site for Polish history. The Muslim cemetery in Studzianka is not only a resting place but also a space that reminds us of the complex history of coexistence of different cultures and religions in our country. Its preserved tombstones and their inscriptions provide valuable material for research on the history of Muslims in Poland and their influence on local traditions and culture.
