Nakło nad Notecią is an urban-rural municipality in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, characterized by its rich history and numerous monuments. The municipality covers an area of 186.97 km², with a predominance of agricultural land (67%) and forests (19%). Within its boundaries, there are four nature reserves, including Hedera, which protects a hornbeam forest with ivy, and Las Minikowski, known for its monumental oaks and linden trees. It is also home to the valuable pedunculate oak named after Władysław Szafer, one of the oldest in Poland, with a circumference of 720 cm. In Nakło nad Notecią, visitors can explore numerous historical sites, such as the manor complex in Chrząstowo from the late 19th century, the palace in Lubaszcz from 1864, and a church built between 1844 and 1847. Other interesting landmarks include 19th-century half-timbered granaries and the wooden church in Ślesin from 1779. The municipality is also rich in memorial sites, including the war cemetery in Potulice. The region includes villages such as Bielawy, Gumnowice, and Ślesin, as well as many smaller settlements.
