The Integrated Archival Information System “ZoSIA” and the National Digital Archives (NAC) play a key role in documenting and providing access to Poland’s archival heritage. The ZoSIA system enables the cataloging of archival collections, from the level of entire archives down to individual items. It is intuitive, accessible to public and educational institutions, and its infrastructure, supported by the National Digital Archives, ensures data security. The NAC, as the central state archive, collects and digitizes archival materials, offering easy access to over 42 million archival scans via the "Search in Archives" service. The NAC’s collections include 15 million photographs documenting history since the 1840s, including materials from the Polish People's Republic, military records, and cultural documentation. From an architectural perspective, these information systems support the storage of both electronic and traditional documents, allowing Polish history to be preserved in a modern form. The NAC also serves as a Competence Center for digitization, setting standards and conducting training for other institutions. An interesting fact is that the NAC stores the archives of Polish Radio and Television, offering millions of recordings and films, including documents from the World War II and the Polish People's Republic eras, making the NAC a crucial resource for researchers and history enthusiasts.
