New Korczyn

Nowy Korczyn is an urban-rural municipality located in Busko County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, near the border with the Małopolskie Voivodeship. The seat of the municipality is the town of Nowy Korczyn, which boasts a rich cultural and historical heritage. The municipality covers an area of 116.67 km² and, according to data from the end of 2017, was inhabited by 5,989 people. Over the years, the municipality has been known for its agriculture, as in 2007, as much as 83% of its area was agricultural land. The municipality is surrounded by picturesque landscapes that attract tourists and nature lovers. Among the villages that make up the municipality, Badrzychowice, Błotnowola, Brzostków, and many others stand out for cultivating local traditions. Historically, Nowy Korczyn faced various challenges, but in the 20th century, it became an important place both economically and culturally.
