Nowe Miasto is an urban-rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Płońsk County. The administrative seat of the municipality is the town of Nowe Miasto. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Ciechanów Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had a population of 4,786 people. It covers an area of 118.35 km², of which 65% is agricultural land and 26% is forested. The Nowe Miasto municipality constitutes 8.55% of the total area of Płońsk County.
