Nieborów

The Nieborów Commune, located in the Łódź Voivodeship in the Łowicz County, is an area with a rich history and diverse natural resources. The seat of the commune is the town of Nieborów, which between 1975 and 1998 was part of the Skierniewice Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 103.90 km², of which 75% is agricultural land and 15% is forest land, making it an important agricultural area in the region. In 2007, the commune had 9,542 inhabitants, and by 2017, the population was 9,390, indicating a stable demographic situation. The commune also features a private helicopter landing site, which may be an interesting point for tourists and residents. The Nieborów Commune is characterized by rich fauna and flora, and within its territory there are two nature reserves: Polana Siwica, with its abundance of meadow and peat vegetation, and partly the Rawka Nature Reserve, which protects the bed of the Rawka River. These areas are not only protected but also serve as unique destinations for nature lovers and eco-tourists. Nieborów is also known for its traditions and culture. The commune includes several village districts, such as Arkadia, Bełchów, Bobrowniki, and Michałówek, as well as localities without village status, such as Janówek and Siwica. The commune's long history, dating back to pre-war times, and its connections with neighboring communes, such as Bolimów, Kocierzew Południowy, Łowicz, Łyszkowice, Nowa Sucha, and Skierniewice, add further historical and cultural context. An interesting fact is that until 1992, Sierzchów was also part of the Nieborów Commune, but was later incorporated into the Bolimów Commune. The Nieborów Commune is not only a place to live but also an area rich in nature, with developed infrastructure and traditions worth exploring, making it an interesting point on the map of the Łódź Voivodeship.
