Niechanowo

Niechanowo is a rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Gniezno County. Its administrative seat is the village of Niechanowo. Historically, from 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Poznań Voivodeship. As of the end of June 2004, the population was 5,337, and by December 31, 2017, it had increased to 5,892 people, accounting for 4.1% of the population of Gniezno County. The municipality covers an area of 105.31 km², with a significant portion dedicated to agricultural land (84%) and forested areas (9%). Niechanowo Municipality constitutes 8.4% of the total area of the county. Architecturally, the area is likely distinguished by local structures, including historic churches that may hold historical and cultural significance in the region.
