Łęki Szlacheckie is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Piotrków County, with its administrative seat in the village of the same name. Traditionally inhabited by an agricultural community, the commune comprises 19 village councils (sołectwa) and 47 localities, with a predominance of agricultural land (67%) and forests (27%). The commune is situated in the southeastern part of the county, on the Piotrków Plain and the Radomsko Hills. The Luciąża River, an important left-bank tributary of the Pilica, flows through its area, and in the river valley, there are territories protected under the Natura 2000 program, serving as a habitat for a rare species of orchids. The "Cieszanowice" retention reservoir is a significant feature in the commune's landscape, and the adjacent buffer zone of the Sulejów Landscape Park adds to its natural value. In terms of architecture, the commune boasts numerous historical monuments, including the manor park in Łęki Szlacheckie and the parish church of the Holy Spirit in Bęczkowice, built between 1910 and 1912. Other interesting sites include the early 19th-century manor park in Dobrenice and the manor complex in Trzepnica from the first half of the 19th century. The commune's culture also revolves around education, with two primary schools, highlighting its commitment to educating the younger generation. The commune borders the communes of Gorzkowice, Masłowice, Ręczno, and Rozprza, fostering cultural exchange and economic interactions. It is worth noting that, according to 2007 data, the commune's area is 108.96 km², accounting for 7.63% of the total area of Piotrków County, making it a significant regional component.
