The Kolibki Viewing Tower, known as the Orange Viewing Terrace Gdynia Kolibki, is located in the Orłowo district of Gdynia, within the Kolibki area, and was opened on September 17, 2007. This 50-meter-high structure features a viewing terrace situated at a height of 28 meters. Above the terrace, mobile phone transmitters are installed, combining modern infrastructure with recreational functionality. The tower is situated in a forested area within the Trójmiejski Landscape Park, at an elevation of approximately 85 meters above sea level, making it an excellent spot for admiring the surrounding landscape. It offers spectacular views of the Tricity area, the Trójmiejski Landscape Park, and the Gdańsk Bay.
Access to the tower is provided by a red access trail, marked symbolically with red triangles bordered in white. The trail can be approached from two directions: one starting at the intersection of Aleja Zwycięstwa and Spółdzielcza Street, near the parking lot of the Klif Shopping Center (900 meters away), and the other branching off from the Wejherowo Trail (700 meters away). The viewing terrace is open from April 1 to October 31, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, weather permitting, and admission is free.
The tower not only serves as an attractive destination for tourists but also fulfills informational and educational roles, promoting local natural and cultural values. Its presence in such a picturesque location highlights the connection between modern architecture and the surrounding nature, as well as the importance of viewing structures in promoting regional tourism.
