Old Timers Garage

Old Timers Garage is a unique venue in Katowice, combining the functions of an automotive museum and a music club. It is located in the revitalized premises of the former Piast Cinema, which opened in 1933. The historical architectural features of the building have been preserved, while a modern stage and mezzanine have been added, enabling the organization of diverse cultural events. The museum boasts a collection of over 30 vintage cars, including rare models such as a 1938 Pontiac Silver Streak and a 1914 Ford T Speedster. The exhibition is dynamic, with regular rotations of the vehicles on display. Since 2009, the club has continuously hosted concerts spanning various music genres, from blues and rock to classical music. Its stage has featured well-known figures from the Polish music scene, such as Irena Jarocka and Krystyna Prońko. Old Timers Garage promotes local artists by organizing events like jam sessions and the Tłoki Festival, which supports young talents in the singer-songwriter community. Interestingly, the club has also hosted theater performances from across Poland and produced its own plays, earning recognition at festivals. Old Timers Garage also serves as a filming location, highlighting its versatility. In 2013, the club was honored with the title of the best club in Katowice, and the Silesian Vintage Vehicle Rally attracts automotive enthusiasts from all over Poland. This is a place that blends history, art, and a passion for automobiles, making it an important cultural hub in the region.
